Our idyllic balloon has been punctured:
(1) By unexpected and significant snow. Odin has fished and EJ is toughing it out, and so must we.
(2) By an injury to Odin the Magnificent, his right leg is bloody on the outside. It happened between 4 and 6 yesterday afternoon and must have been caused either by an intruder (and LG are using the plural for yesterday) or a fishing accident. Odin is toughing it out, and so must we.
EJ has just taken a little exercise on the nest and is now back on her eggs.

Pleased to hear and see the pics that Odin has been back to the nest.
A change for EJ as the sun shines on the nest and EJ.

Thanks all for today's updates and images.
I read Jen's blog first and then came and started the DU Thread right from Scylla's punctured balloon start!
What trials and tribulations! I seem to remember a young unringed male with a resemblance to Odin intruding last season too? I wonder if this might be the same bird again? He certainly seems very keen on this nest if he is skydancing with fish for EJ

EJ takes a flight. Odin is on the nest.
My stream is really jumpy and the sound doesn't match up. I hear it and then see it. Anyone else got this problem?

Intruder is back. Odin is calling while sitting on the eggs
Odin has flown and EJ is back.
Hi everyone :)
Thanks for all the updates etc. Nice to see Odin on the nest after he was away for a good while. EJ and Odin must be getting seriously cheesed off with that persistent intruder.
Odin has just flown.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
And EJ has just returned
EJ looks tired. It's a good job that the intruder dropped his fish on the nest earlier or EJ wouldn't have eaten today. I wish that he would get the message and leave.
