Our idyllic balloon has been punctured:
(1) By unexpected and significant snow. Odin has fished and EJ is toughing it out, and so must we.
(2) By an injury to Odin the Magnificent, his right leg is bloody on the outside. It happened between 4 and 6 yesterday afternoon and must have been caused either by an intruder (and LG are using the plural for yesterday) or a fishing accident. Odin is toughing it out, and so must we.
EJ has just taken a little exercise on the nest and is now back on her eggs.

EJ is alarm calling. Intruder has landed. EJ is pushing him off!
Intruder landed TWICE!!! Cheeky bird.

Intruder just tried to land on edge of nest - looked so much like Odin?,,,

I missed that, sorry, so can't comment. EJ is still on the nest, looking somewhat damp. Odin alarm called briefly. Radio chaffinch et al is playing.

There is a piece of fish under EJ's tail, so Odin has been fishing. Where is he? EJ had to defend the nest alone.
Oh yes, it really does look like Odin. I wonder whether it is the same bird we saw a few days ago, and I further wonder whether it might be one of the untagged off-spring?
Deary me, Odin has been busy today warding off intruders.
He looks like a smaller, younger version of Odin. EJ doesn't care for him much. I hope that SCYLLA got video of this. It was so fast!
It won't be the first time in the past few days when a young upstart related to the nest has tried to take over. Perhaps it is happening here too.
EJ does look wet. The cam keeps stopping and starting for me too. Her front looks particularly browny red.
She does look wet, poor girl. I'm a bit worried about Odin. Where is he? I hope that he's not hurt again.
So do I MOFFER. I do wish the Centre would give more timely updates. Nothing on Twitter or FB
