Our idyllic balloon has been punctured:
(1) By unexpected and significant snow. Odin has fished and EJ is toughing it out, and so must we.
(2) By an injury to Odin the Magnificent, his right leg is bloody on the outside. It happened between 4 and 6 yesterday afternoon and must have been caused either by an intruder (and LG are using the plural for yesterday) or a fishing accident. Odin is toughing it out, and so must we.
EJ has just taken a little exercise on the nest and is now back on her eggs.
IMAGICAT
Good morning, all! Thanks for starting the new thread, Scylla the Magnificent. It's good to see the sun is out for our beautiful EJ:
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Morning CLARE
More cheeps from EJ, I hope that means she can see Odin nearby. Preferably with a fish, of course.
Morning, CLARE :-) I think I see Odin in the background - someone flew...
Yes, someone flew behind, left to right. Either Odin or a big Scottish wasp.
A big Scottish wasp in this weather?
Thank you again for starting us off today, SCYLLA ''. Odin is toughing it out, and so must we.''
Eaier said than doine, however.. Goodmorning PATILY And CLARE. The snow has turned to ice. Hope the loch hasn't frozen over!!! Surely the Spey won't.
Hi, Cirrus! I've seen EJ and Odin deal with conditions worse than these so I'm not going to worry too much.
I was thinking about you re Odin, CIRRUS, knowing you'll be extremely upset :o
Morning CIRRUS I have to go Hope when I look in later the icy snow will be gone
