The idyllic start to the season continues, with the only blot being intruders (which come with the territory). Today an Odin-lookalike appeared to land on the nest but I'm not sure that it wasn't Odin putting himself between the intruder and the nest before chasing it off.
This is what we could have had tonight:
This is what we have - at least it's not as bad as last night.
I suppose the people who adjust the "lights" can't see the outcomes because they're locked out of the VC ??? If only we knew.
Then at 0120hr they briefly changed the light again:
EJ checked the egg - all present and correct:
Someone out there? I didn't hear anything:
Poop and flap:
Another sweep of the lights (I know they're not lights as such, but what are we to call them?):
They're doing it about every hour:
IMAGICAT
Was that noisy row a microlight?
Odin's still on the nest napping!

EJ softly calling while preening in the sun
EJ has been standing at the edge of the nest for at least 10 minutes. Just had a fly around and now settling down to incubate
EJ has returned and Odin has left.
After a comfort break, EJ returned to take over from Odin who had immediately dropped onto the nest after she left.
A lovely evening at LG with the lowering sun and song of the birds.
