Evening all: Welcome back, Alicat! As usual, all quiet on the LG nest; breezy at LOTL. FYI, I may not watch very late tonight as we have someone coming early in the morning to install French doors between the kitchen and "my" room and it's been a busy day.
Heard a commotion, and came back to the webcam just in time to see a disappearing pair of wings above the nest (osprey??) with EJ standing over the eggs, ready to attack whoever it was if they came nearer. Now she is sitting on the eggs again, looking around as if something is circling. Something is shouting at her.
Now Odin the Magnificent has arrived, complete with a fish! & is joining in with screeching!!
He suddenly flew off again, with the fish, but don't know if its to attack the intruder or what. EJ is looking a lot over to her left, as if observing. She is quiet now.
Odin with a fish flies to the rescue ... intruder alert!

Golly, DjoanS, that was scary! Did you see what the intruder was?
Here is EJ now, she has just checked the eggs are OK and settled down in a slightly different direction to before. All is quiet.
Lindybird - no I didn't see what it was ... in fact when Odin landed on the nest I thought he was the intruder!
There was definitely someone else there - but I was too late to see what kind of bird it was. EJ was positively bristling, full of defence for her babes. I think that Odin must have been just returning with the fish when he saw the situation, he arrived ready to do battle as well. Seems to have taken the quite large piece of fish off to eat himself, now, though.
When I looked at my pic again, the fish is headless, so I think Odin must have been eating nearby & flew to the rescue!
Looks like it could be starting to snow .... poor EJ
Odin arrived with a bit of fish, then gave it to EJ before a change over. She flew off with the fish.
