Another good day for EJ and Odin. Despite the wind the nest is looking better, with more soft nest material, and a new blog from Jen is reassuringly unworried about the PM hole. I was watching EJ working there this evening and was reminded of a past season when the nestcup was steep and deep - maybe the PM only nuzzled a hole that was already there.
I expect EJ to add to the good news from other nests very soon ;-)
It's a blustery, wet night.

She's back, still mantling.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

I still don't like that Pine Marten Hole!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
From RSPB Operation Osprey.
Exciting times here at the Osprey Centre! An unringed male has been around the area several times today and landed on the camera tree a short while ago and was chased off by EJ
So that's what was happening this afternoon ;)
