A Google search revealed this so I have started a new thread has been suggested.
Birdies LG DU update.
I also did it via The Woodland Trust, who seem to have a sensible comprehensive overview of the ecological various concerns. As a "Life Fellow" of the RSPB, I have been disappointed by their weak stance on this issue.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
I couldn't agree more, OG. My OH resigned as a Fellow some years ago.

Just checked on the Council Planning Site - a lot of supporting comments submitted today - so if anyone who reads this has not already made an objection, please do it - NOW - it has to be in before midnight tonight (Friday).
Thanks OG for mentioning the Woodland Trust petition, I have now signed it. I had already objected to the Council Planning site.
I've also raised my objection via the Woodland Trust. What a helpful site!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Well, it's over to the Council now - Just hoping they reach the right decision!
I have not renewed my membership of rspb this year. If I could donate only to LG I would but not sure that is possible.
I'm afraid the RSPB haven't covered themselves with glory here. They are a big enough charity to have shown a sight more stroppiness over this issue - especially over the cold and deliberate efforts to scare the ospreys from their nest.
Why can't folk post links !
I can - what would you like a link to?
SunnyKate2's signature contains very good instructions on how to post links.
