A Google search revealed this so I have started a new thread has been suggested.

Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Big festival coming up in Aviemore (Rothiemurchus) this month 30000 predicted and 25 osprey nests at least in Speyside - no one complaining ?????
Valerie
How close to this festival is the nearest nest?
Clare can't say exactly exactly where but certainly close
I must confess I'm at a bit of a loss as to why another festival has been brought up now, three months after this thread was started. Is it because it wasn't previously known about, or has it been running for years with no ill effects?
Valerie /Clare it is being held in the dell at Rothiemurchus which I think is opposite Ord Bahn restaurant. Numbers a lot less at 25k and a different type of festival goer. The Dell is the open field I assume. Cost is quite expensive compared to what is available at titp for a simular price but sought after bands on a one time only stopover - 31st July. Was set up in January February time when I looked at tickets. It is the likes of mumford & sons. It is also just two days Friday and Saturday - no Sunday

When I used to do the Monsters of Rock (now Download) festival at Donington nobody did this - there was a woodland nearby which would get used by countless people as the toilet queues were just hideous. Toilet queues at festivals are always hideous - perhaps Mr Ellis has never experienced the sharp end of the festival experience. [/quote]Seriously indeed Clare. I used to work beside someone who's family rented out a field at Ballado and they used to have to take holidays after the event to help the family clear the mess

Lmac - The two burns running through the estate (Prestney Burn and Machany Water) both tributaries of the River Earn will be the revelers latrines.
SHIELA FE - Why the hek do you want to go to T in the Park !!! - I have set up my buffer zone this weekend in my own castle 8 miles south. I will try and get on site next week to see the situation but 10 days before the event was not allowed to walk up from the airfield to the castle.
So, Keith, are SEPA checking for pollution in the watercourses?
Will look forward to seeing your site report next week!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
