A Google search revealed this so I have started a new thread has been suggested.
Birdies LG DU update.
Absolutely! The buffer zone is relatively lax until mid June I think, and then closer to the festival site, which of course is the time the chicks will be attempting to fledge. It could be disaster.

ShielaFE - Thanks for the report.
Unfortunately this is just a token effort by RSPB - 250 metres is not a very far distance from June onwards.
You can approach the nest at Lochter much closer without disturbance but then this is a single person or a fisherman close by and the ospreys are used to this - not 85,000 noisy revellers.
I will go up to the nest on Thurs or Friday to see latest (Very wet today and tomorrow).
Not only 85,000 revelers but speakers turned up sky-high. Yes a big difference from a lone fisherman.
Decision day is next Tuesday - unless it can be pushed to Full Council rather than being passed by Committee.
Keith - please let us know what you find there!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Hi all
I promised to keep you up to date with news about my emails. Unfortunately I have been asked not to divulge in any detail the conversation. What I can say is this:
1. I received an apology for the lack of response to my earlier emails. Apparently there were technical issues with my emails being forwarded to the correct people. I accepted the apology.
2. The reason why I am not allowed to divulge details is that both the issues that I raised (contraventions of both The Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 and The Nature Conservation Act (Scotland) 2004) are currently subject to an on-going police investigation. No decision in relation to prosecution has yet been made.
3. I am unlikely to hear any more on this subject direct from the police. Police policy is to personally reply to the first person that reports potential issues and I was not the first apparently to being these possible infringements to their attention. The media will be informed once decisions have been reached.
Some people think Ospreys are a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.
CRinger thanks for all your efforts ...
It seems Mmmmm s the word then
Thanks, CRinger. I sincerely hope you're now making a good recovery from your last hospital stay?
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Thank you Clare! Getting steadily better each day.
C Ringer. Thank you for taking the time to update us. As Clare says best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Thank you for all your efforts and updating us, CRinger. Best wishes to you.
