I heard a bird flying over the nest just about half seven, thought it had landed but  wasn't on the nest.  Ej was unperturbed so  I assumed it must be Odin . He couldn't hve been perched below for an hour and a half  - could he???? Are we sure it WAS Odin lol. So funny. a bit of domestic dis-harmony perhaps.

I didn't see him land but did see him go. I don't think EJ would have been so peaceful if it had been anyone other than Odin.

That's definitely one of the unusual sights of this season :)

Yes you are right Barbara Jean.  She will not burning any calories off at the moment but I am sure Odin has no calories to burn off  at the moment after all the mating he has been doing.

I'm off too. looking forward to  tomorrow, I;m sure he'll have to pay for those shenanigans.  lol

I would love to see a video of  his maneuvering  to land " under"  the nest 

He must have had to fold his  wings to land there . Normally their wings are  open when they land.

EJ is restless . She has been  moving her position a lot 

If I remember correctly last year the  3rd egg was laid one day after the 2nd one. 

Thanks so much Hazelwoods. We will have to look out to see if that happens again. I think EJ should get him to egg sit tomorrow and go and fish for herself.

Maybe that is  why EJ brings some of her fish back for Odin  so he can keep up his strength and  has the energy  for all the mating   LOL

Oh please don't wish that .  If  EJ has to start fishing for  herself there will be no chicks.  She  won't brood them . According to Roy's book one year  her  mate failed to feed her. She abandoned the eggs and fished for  herself. 

She is fine  right now ! She isn't that  hungry 

When she  is  really hungry she isn't just calling for food she  is yelling non stop !  You can hear it in her calls
