Morning all; All quiet on nests so far with EJ and Marge snoozing.
jsb: Gordon Brown and you at an American wheat convention? Sounds like a nightmare! Maple syprup is good (but only with pancakes, French toast, or waffles!) Are you up and watching the nest - that isn't snow at LG is it??
Annette: I think it is sleet.

That IS snow!!
I think it's falling too slowly for sleet.... Don't know where the guys are this morning; Odin is probably having a hard time fishing and am afraid that Marge's friend may be sleeping in.... :-(
Of course, I haven't actually seen sleet for more than 40 years......
OK, we'll it's 10:30 California time and much as I hate to go off to a cozy bed and leave these two ladies out in the cold, there's not much I can do. I'll look foward to catching up on posts in the morning before I disappear out for the day....
I'm sticking with sleet, as it is melting on contact. The Met Office current forecast is light snow.

Well, you know what? I'm sticking with RAIN! We don't often get sleet here, but when we do, it is usually being driven that hard by the wind that it's nearly horizonal, and it has little shards of ice which sting before they melt on you. These just look like raindrops falling fairly gently because there's not much wind. Whatever they are, it's time for them to stop, don't you think?
Smiles, Jan.
