Hi all: Quiet on nest. Soosin posted news of her Saturday outing at the end of the last Update; I've copied them onto the new Weekly Chat page (hope that's OK Soosin?)

Very bright light is on tonight. :-)
Hi Annette,
I know the end of this week we will all be on " first egg watch" But I hope EJ doesn't lay her first egg on Friday, because I will be gone all day. I am having shoulder surgery for a torn rotator cuff and bone spurs.
I want to see her first egg. After the surgery I will have plenty of time on my computer to keep everyone updated because I have to sit in a special chair with my arm in a passive motion machine for 3-4 hours a day. When they deliver the chair I plan to tell them to put it in front of my computer :)

Hey Barbara Jean: I was out to dinner with friends last night and someone was talking about "passive motion" machines for knee surgery! My daughter had rotator cuff surgery a few years ago - she was the "active machine" that exercised it - it turned out fine. Will you still be able to type on the blog? :-)
Huh. The bright light on the nest just went out; now normal, low, night lighting....
This machine exercises the arm with out my help. It is my left shoulder and I use my right hand to write and for the computer mouse. I am sort of ambidextrous . I can write with either hand, but use my right hand the most so that handwriting is better. However my left arm has always been my strongest so I carry heavy things with that arm and thus the torn rotator cuff. They say which ever hand you can use a scissors with is your dominate hand. Well I can and do use a scissors with either hand. My Dad was ambidextrous too. Comes in handy at a time like this :)
If EJ is on schedule she should be on the nest in about 10 minutes with Odin in 'HOT' pursuit LOL
Handy indeed! I see dawn breaking over the nest....
Here she is right on time :)
Hmm. EJ and Odin arrive simultaneously; no need to explain what they're up to; Odin leaves immediately. Off to get breakfast, one hopes.
I can just hear it as they wake up and one says to the other "Race ya to the nest"!!
