Evening/morning all. Quiet on the nest. FYI, the super-bright light that was on last night isn't there - just normal lighting.
Thanks DjoanS for the capture of EJ and Odin with the fish.
Margobird
Aftrnoon folks - and thanks to those who advised about screen dumps - think I can maybe manage that! When I looked a few moments ago, the nest was empty. Perhaps EJ is eating in a tree and Odin has gone off to ffish again.
5:24 pm Odin delivers nice sized fish, EJ takes it and she's off.
Odin having a preen and looking magnificent in the late afternoon sunshine.
Thanks Sandy. Just trying to catch up and timed it for your post.

Everything in life is speaking in spite of its apparent silence.
Here's a treat for you, if you are like me and have the nestcam running on your desktop. Now that we have the audio available, listen out for the call of the Capercaillie, which is not heard very often and may be some distance from the Centre, as they are rather shy creatures, but the sound should travel, perhaps within earshot.
So that you know what to listen for, here is one the RSPB prepared earlier!

It is not a catchy tune that one could whistle, on the way to work. It is a bit like an old tractor trying to start in the morning.

5:57 pm. EJ's had her fill of the fish and returns it to Odin to finish it off. EJ cleans her beak on the post.
Odin's back and EJ's still calling can only mean one thing.........
Nice one JSB. I would never have guessed that noise would come from a bird, let alone a lovely capercaillie.
