Evening/morning all. Quiet on the nest. FYI, the super-bright light that was on last night isn't there - just normal lighting.
Sound is back now. EJ is scanning the skies looking out towards the forest and doing some light preening.
Odin flies in with half-eaten fish. EJ takes it, sticks her talons in it and flies off with it.
Odin's turn for some light nest-work. He's still not happy with this nest-cup and wants it a little deeper. Some of the carefully arranged moss flies out of the nest. Look out below...
Odin brings part of a fish
... and EJ takes it and flies off!

Well done DjoanS for capturing that. EJ took the fish very gently.
Odin has a yawn and now looks ready for a nap. EJ has other ideas and has flown back!
Time to mate then off he goes - perhaps for a snooze in a tree
No birds on nest now. Off to prepare evening meal. Catch up later.
This is only my third year watching this nest.
Has anyone ever seen this type of " fish sharing" that is happening between EJ & Odin?
I wonder if Odin had a difficult migration and he is still very hungry and EJ knows it so she is sharing the fish he brings to her. We can only guess, but she seems fine with this arrangement.
In the past two years I never saw her take a fish , eat part of it and then bring back some of the fish for her mate to eat.

Good afternoon Barbara Jean and it is my 3rd year and I have not seen this behaviour before. Bless her though for sharing because when the chicks hatch he is going to have to be very busy.
