Just noticed the time so thought I'd be a chancer and start the new thread before heading off to bed :)
All's quiet on the Western Front, and on the LG nest. In this strange light the nest looks as if it has quite a deep bowl and the sides are much higher now. EJ and Odin must have realised that it's time to get down to some serious nest building as eggs will be here soon. Nice to see that Odin is remembering to bring his lady red roses (well red spagnum moss, but it's the nearest he could find.)
I thjink it's quite dark outside but I think it stays a bit lighter further north you go. EJ still on nest looking and listening and preening. She has tucked her leg in as if she is going to stay a wee while. There is only so much you can say about a bird on a nest/

Why would she sit so long on her nest at this time of night I wonder. Not unless the wind has dies down and she is just enjoying the peace and quiet, and she is not making a sound. Hoorah!!

Now she is looking at the camera. Now that was a strange grunt. EJ heard it and she seems quite alert. Cirrus please come home this is torture.EJ has left the nest at 20.54>> Good night.

Tish i heard something in the back ground didn't know it was ducks EJ was on nest quite a bit tonight wasn't she she seemed to be alert as though she could or hear something hope its not the pine martin come back it was nice to see one but not in the nest would rather have seen it somewhere else.

I have just had a look at the nest and how can you possibly get a pic of the screen. It's all fuzzy and blue and black dots??An osprey has just landed on the nest can't see who but looks like EJ. Strange it's pitch black out there!! What and why is she there. 21.10 and still sitting on her nest. Maybe she wants to stay there because of intruders or something we don't know about.
Sitting on the left hand edge of the nest now . Is this how Annette feels in the morning??
