Just noticed the time so thought I'd be a chancer and start the new thread before heading off to bed :)
All's quiet on the Western Front, and on the LG nest. In this strange light the nest looks as if it has quite a deep bowl and the sides are much higher now. EJ and Odin must have realised that it's time to get down to some serious nest building as eggs will be here soon. Nice to see that Odin is remembering to bring his lady red roses (well red spagnum moss, but it's the nearest he could find.)
I wondered if they were both looking at an intruder just before Odin flew off with the fish...Maybe not. What a pity the pine martens could be a threat to the ospreys. They look so cute in Carol's picture
He returns and gives what looks like a very small piece of fish, She's off to eat it. odin sorts out the moss
All I ask is the chance to prove that money can't make me happy. Spike Milligan
Oh, well, goodie. And camera back even more goodie. But I've got to go to work now. Please keep fish reports coming ! And thank you.
Odin on the nest just now - he's so gorgeous!
Odin flies off. Empty nest now
ALICAT Would love to see a Pine Martin (though not in an osp nest) Apparently there are some in the woods here but I haven't been lucky enough to see one.
Would love to see a Pine Martin, too.
EJ just came back, followed by Odin with mating on his mind, again. Then he flew off as usual.
Both return to nest to mate. Odin flies off. EJ cleaning her beak and squeaking happily.
Its great having the sound to encourage me back to the screen so I;m not missing anything

I love the way EJ does that peeking thing to see what Odin has!!!
Everything in life is speaking in spite of its apparent silence.
