Daily Update (LG Nest) Friday, April 9, 2010

Just noticed the time so thought I'd be a chancer and start the new thread before heading off to bed :)

All's quiet on the Western Front, and on the LG nest. In this strange light the nest looks as if it has quite a deep bowl and the sides are much higher now. EJ and Odin must have realised that it's time to get down to some serious nest building as eggs will be here soon. Nice to see that Odin is remembering to bring his lady red roses (well red spagnum moss, but it's the nearest he could find.)

    Morning all,

I am a bit worried that Alicat spotted a pine marten in the nest last night. In Scotland some clutches of osprey eggs have been raided by pine martens. Perhaps the LG team can take some steps to deter these predators.

Alan this is a bit of a concern that Alicat saw a pine marten in the nest.  Hope LG Team can do something to deter it.

Emma and LindybirdI have just notice that Loch Garten "Group has now dropped on the 3rd page.

Good morning to everyone that i have not mentioned and thanks so much for all the news, screen captures and osrey sightings.  Beautiful morning here in Poole and looks like it will be reasonable for the weekend.

Frustrating no cam from LG or LOTL at this point in time.  Let's hope it will not be too difificult to fix although I am sure both sites will be trying to rectify the problem as quickly as they can.  Day not right until I see opsreys.

Fingers crossed it will be back on soon.
