Start of a new day at Loch Garten
Tiger Signature
Snap indeed DjoanS ! and thanks for the heads up re new blog.
And I'm full of envy Alan - well done you.
Hello Cirrus great shot of EJ shaping the egg cup. She has been such a busy girl this morning in between pandering to Odin's needs.
Margobird
I smiled at the way you put that Margobird :) But have not seen Odin bring in any more nesting material in quite a while.
Golly, it does seem to be getting even windier - oh EJ !
this post may be timed at 14.01 but it's actually 14.58 now. Does anyone know when Odin was last seen?
Afternoon everyone. I agree Cirrus. It seems very windy and exposed on the nest. EJ has been moving a few bits of moss around and has almost been blown off the nest in the process. Thank you very much AQ for the photos of the nests - not sure if they are on this thread or the weekly..... They have really helped put the location into perspective. Glad to hear of your osprey sighting this morning Alan. That must have given you a boost. Its more spring-like here now although there is a cold breeze. No snow visible on surrounding hills so hopefully thats the last of it until next winter at least. Not seen Odin on the nest for a while. Lets hope he brings home a nice fish treat for EJ.
Just returned home. Thanks for your comments and pictures. I see that Paul has confirmed that Odin hasn't provided any fish for EJ yet, so that has settled last night's discussion. The nest cup does seem to be rather deep.
Odin just arrived with a fish !
He has given it to EJ.
Odin just delivered a fish!
Yes !! He's brought a fish Hooray!
And now with sound we can hear the calls he made when no doubt displaying to her. Great!
Odin brought a fish, EJ took it from him, mantled to protect it and he stood on the back of her neck!
Odin's back - crash landed into EJ. Must want part of the fish !!
