Start of a new day at Loch Garten
Tiger Signature
Brilliant catch Auntie! Glad someone knows how to snag a photo. Now maybe someone can tell us what was going on. :-)
EJ seems to enjoy the morning sun and clearly less windy weather than yesterday

Looks very pleasant there Auntie and EJ seems settled. I'm off to bed; have a lovely day!
Sleep well Annette :)
Morning al. EJ and Odin on the nest. Oh EJ now gone.
Odin scraping out the bowl of the nest now.
Morning Tiger. I just love that "cup digging"- thing that Odin just did
I've taken a shot of that morning light Annette has been asking about, and darkeded the picture off a bit so we can see through the morning dazzle a bit better. that white bit to the right of the pic is what we call 'burnout' and usually indicates a very bright light sorce or reflection. In this case, I wonder if there is a bit of metal in the composition of the nest which is catching the rays of the early morning sun and reflecting them directly at the camera?
Smiles, Jan.

Yes indeed. To think that until the advent of streaming osprey webcams in 2003 almost no one had ever seen that behaviour. That was the thing we saw so many things not in the books. Then we realised that the people who wrote the books had not had the opportunity to see these things.
Wattle I think you are right. It illustrates well why webcams face north!
