Happy Easter all!
OK. So EJ and Odin safely at LG, but what has happened to the LOTL cam. Haven't been able to get anything. It looks like it's going to load okay, then you get just a black screen. Let's hope they get it sorted soon. Margobird said they'd had horrible weather there yesterday, so maybe that knocked out something.
Well, I missed Odin's arrival but thanks to BigRab, there's a video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4EoYaRO6js which I plan to watch myself in a minute.
Busy day here, also amazed to see Trucker cam is now in Albuquerque - boy! does that guy ever cover ground. So I really have to follow him tomorrow (along with you-know-who) because I've driven that road and just love the huge wide horizons. But it's also Easter, so a bit of family stuff going on. Bought some lovely strawberries from the farm down the road and then went to supermarket and bought some naughty cheese (fattening double cream French Brie), mushrooms stuffed with all kinds of yummy stuff and simply couldn't turn down Haagen Dazs's invite to try - "at special introduction price" - new Java Chip flavor with coffee and chocolate chips. Was at Costco earlier and got some great asparagus and Wild Alaska Halibut. So we had a nice dinner, but ice cream still unopened - for now.

Morning Tiger I don't think so, I am fed up already with wal to wall coverage on the news. Whoever gets in needs to do something to drag us out out of recession as I don't believe we are really coming out of it yet.

Welcome back Caerann and thanksfor the pic. What an awful drive home for you but at least you are safe. Lots happening now at LG and LOTL and at long last they have some sun to sit in. EJ is so busy at the moment moving some very heavy furniture aroud.
Thanks for the photographs aquilareen really gives me a good idea of the stunning scenery at both LG and LOTL.

Haven't been online today as competing in obedience and agility - Tweed had a first place (and 2 eliminations!) and has now moved up a grade. Nice bottle of wine with evening meal, to celebrate. I'll get back to normal tomorrow.

Good morning TerryM lovely photograph and what a good idea using the car as a hide. Wish we could do the same. i have been watching a pair of bluetits this morning who for the first time are using a nesting box that has been up for 4 years. They are so busy.
Well done Patriciat and Tweed. Thanks AQ for those absolutely beautiful pictures. I´ve been doing some window cleaning and cam watching simultaneously. I don`t have very many windows in my flat, but `cause the triple glasses it takes some time...

Afternoon all,
Firstly thanks everyone for the chat , pics and election news?
Especially thanks to AQ for those stunning pics of LG and LOTL.
This morning I went to Rutland Water and saw my first ospreys of the season. I went to the Lyndon Nature Reserve and sat in the Waderscrape hide for about an hour watching 5R and the unringed female. I did not see any fish brought in but was informed that 5R had caught one earlier. I did however see some mating sessions and a couple of fly pasts. Things are looking really good there. I would have stayed longer but it was absolutely freezing with temps about 8c and a North wind coming off the water. When is it going to warm up? Absolutely elated with what I saw however. Off to take Hamish for his walk soon.
