Happy Easter all!
OK. So EJ and Odin safely at LG, but what has happened to the LOTL cam. Haven't been able to get anything. It looks like it's going to load okay, then you get just a black screen. Let's hope they get it sorted soon. Margobird said they'd had horrible weather there yesterday, so maybe that knocked out something.
Well, I missed Odin's arrival but thanks to BigRab, there's a video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4EoYaRO6js which I plan to watch myself in a minute.
Busy day here, also amazed to see Trucker cam is now in Albuquerque - boy! does that guy ever cover ground. So I really have to follow him tomorrow (along with you-know-who) because I've driven that road and just love the huge wide horizons. But it's also Easter, so a bit of family stuff going on. Bought some lovely strawberries from the farm down the road and then went to supermarket and bought some naughty cheese (fattening double cream French Brie), mushrooms stuffed with all kinds of yummy stuff and simply couldn't turn down Haagen Dazs's invite to try - "at special introduction price" - new Java Chip flavor with coffee and chocolate chips. Was at Costco earlier and got some great asparagus and Wild Alaska Halibut. So we had a nice dinner, but ice cream still unopened - for now.
Have a good time, AQ!
Have fun AQ. I'm sure there'll be a lot of images (not from me unfortunately) by the time you get back. Site seems to be operating at normal speed again..
Hope you have a great time AQ.

Hi guys. I'm going to sign off from this page for the night. EJ is on the nest and calling; Odin off doing what he does best - one assumes anyway. Have a lovely Easter Sunday. I'm going to keep an eye on the cam and the Daily Update page for a bit, then call it a night.
Hi all,
Missed Odin's arrival last night so catching up now. In the meantime, another cam to watch today. This looks like a peregrine hatch in Rome - first of the season in Europe I think. Haven't seen the chick, but the falcon is pulling out broken eggshell.

Edit: someone on birdcam.it has captured a pic of the 2 Easter chicks:
Morning all. Grey but dry Easter Day so far. Annette - thanks for sharing Mike's wonderful Hawk picture. Those having family parties - enjoy! We are "home alone" - Dau#1 & GDaus are at Spring Harvest, Dau#2 has GSons and at least one GFriend visiting, Son awaits our visit next week. We shall go to church this morning then see what the weather is doing - hopefully will get into the garden.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
For followers of Lily and Hope:
This is from latest Bear update - and the BBC are there making a series of 3 documentaries.
Sorry - me again - Tweed Valley Ospreys came back. Weren't seen during snow midweek - and another female at nest! Their webcam not up yet, but both centres open today.
OG wonderful pics - especially of Hope. Manythanks. You were talking about Tweed valley - do you also know about LOTL- does anyone know when Eric returned last year and the year before 2008 2009 ? My heart is breaking watching her watching for Eric.
Gotta go out this AM but will catch up this PM. Enjoy everyone !! and HAPPY EASTER
Thanks, Cirrus - and a Happy Easter to you and to All who are reading here today, too.
What a date to remember on the Osprey Calendar yesterday was!! Just couldn't believe that Odin had turned up right on cue, on the very same day as 2009. We had been on visit to Son and D i Law, had very pleasant visit, then returned home in early evening: put on Internet within 10 minutes of arrival & saw empty nest, so went to make some toast. Came back after 15 minutes and shouted "Two Ospreys!" - had a muddled evening after that as trying to divide time between chores, TV and visions of the nest with and without birds. What a day!
Annette: Lovely pic of the Red Tailed Hawk, hope you get to see him again. You are almost bound to see other interesting wildlife I suppose, while on your shift of whale watching.
Sue C: Nice study of the Peregrine hatch in Rome. How many eggs are there?
OG: Thanks for great pic of Hope; she is a gorgeous little bear that's for sure.
Dull here today but dry: may go to visit Husbands Aged Auntie (she has been in hospital after a fall, but is now OK) and must do stuff in the garden if it stays dry.
