Starting this early because I don't want to forget Tiger's last post on the previous day's update, which was "The male osprey is back at Kielder." Can Odin be far behind? LG nest empty; Marge snoozing at LOTL. Come on guys!
LOTL nest empty. Opened LG just in time to see EJ leave. By the time I've typed that, she back. Very alert, looking skywards.
EJ busy moving the chairs, sofa, etc again. Then she stands and calls "Odin, Odin, where are you?"
Many thanks to the Night Shift for info and pics. Maybe today's the day?
EJ at 08.38
Off hiking all day today (shortly) so do hope this fact will bring Odin in and I hope to see his pic posted later.
EJ is very restless today. She is on the nest for a few minutes, rearranges a few twigs, scans the area and then flies off . With in a short period of time she is back on the nest to rearrange twigs and scan the sky .
Does she see other migratory birds in the area to make her realize the Ospreys will return soon?

hm, "tuning in" so to speak and find both nests empty...
Hi Guys,
New kid on the osprey block here. Haven't been a member of the community before. I followed EJ and Odin and the 3 little ones all last season. I've been following the satellite tracking too.My appetite for osprey seems to be insatiable right now!! EJ is all talk about and I'm glued to this infernal machine when I'm not at work. So hiya to you all, one more Sue to the list!!!! There are a lot of us aren't there?? hence I used the rather twee 'Su'!!

Welcome Su. Yes watching webcams is rather addictive. I think my first webcam was 2001 and it was a lot more primitive then. One picture every fifteen minutes.

Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
