Egads! We have to put the clocks forward tonight! Seems like we just put them back 10 minutes ago. :-(
Lynette, Lovely captures, especially the ' ephelants' :-))
Good morning, all. It's yet another bright start here - yay! I came downstairs to see a host of wood pigeons already in the trees at the end of our garden. There's now one less as one of the local crows came flying through and aimed its landing right where one of the pigeons was sitting. You bet it moved quickly! You don't really see crows attacking pigeons here but you do tend to see them exercising a certain warped sense of humour.
I've had no feedback from Thursday's interview (it was arranged by an agency) - I should know more by Tuesday. The interview lasted for an hour and three quarters - phew! - it included filling in one of their forms and a short test. I was very glad when it was over.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Limpy got me a new camera for Christmas which I've been practising with - after a LOT of struggling with the settings I'm finally getting there (mainly courtesy of the excellent Whistling Joe of Minsmere fame!). I popped to Felixstowe Ferry to try out the most recent advice from the aforementioned Joe - my gull photos are much better but this is the snap I really wanted to share with everyone:
I loved the sheer cheekiness of the dog resting its head on the other's backside!
Good Morning Everyone. A bright start but there is more cloud around this morning. I haven't ventured out yet but the forecast is for a cold easterly breeze.
Clare, Love the dog photograph, but the poor things have been left on a most uncomfortable gravel 'bed'.
OH just returned from walking to the post office. His first comment was, " Brrrrr, it feels cold out there this morning. "
It does feel really cold. I'm hoping that cold wind will help my washing along!
I'm pleased the dogs went down well. They are actually lying on shingle - and they seemed surprisingly comfortable. I know I wouldn't have been.
Daisy loves sunny stones Clare..
The must absorb the heat as she is a sun worshiper :-)
It is very quiet on here, Although the wind is cold, the sun came out and it is quite a nice afternoon.
We are going to a quiz night at 7pm, with a fish and chip supper included. Usually a good evening.
My Mothering Sunday flowers from my son, were delivered this morning and chocolates from Hotel Chocolat, from my daughter, were delivered yesterday. I will open their cards tomorrow. Daughter will be working and son is running a marathon in Barcelona, so I won't see either of them. I have told them that it is all too commercialised and expensive, but they still buy presents. I do enjoy receiving them though :-))
Time for some afternoon tea now.

Hope you have all had a good day.
Heather, I presume your house is now back in order and you are looking forward to your friends arrival tomorrow. Enjoy.
Off out shortly and I am not ready yet !
