WEEKLY CHAT (Non Osprey Topics) SUNDAY FEBRUARY 1st 2015

Where did January go? Really interesting hearing about all the new/pending pups - think you have found some surrogate owners!!!

  • Sounds like a super day out, dibnlib. Oh! I know the sculpture you mean and have wanted it for ages! I shall be green with envy if you decide to "find room for it!".
  • Dibnlib, Loch an Eilein is my favourite place- it is now an annual Boxing Day walk plus many other days throughout the year. We are up that way this weekend and my goodness it's cold and lots of snow still on the ground. Benson is a very handsome chap.

Claire good on you getting another interview, you are going to be spoilt for choice when it comes to jobs. Hope it goes well. Hope also that Limpy feels better soon.

Best wishes to all others under the weather and going for check - ups.

  • J is still on the road home - seems all was okay, but will hear details when he arrives!

Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!

  • Nice story OG..

Hope all is well with J:-)

Dibnlib also love Brodie and new investment is amazing. Sadly first visit not too happy a so noisey ( a bit like Simpsons) so well impressed at the new acoustic boards at Brodie... Brilliant!!

Eldest up next week so excited as not seen her for 11 months ... Sadly life and illness play havoc with life...

  • OG   Thanks for that piece of good news. glad to hear J is on his way home.

OH has just settled down to watch the rugby. My bro has already offered him his condolences!!!! Although bro is English, he supports everything this side of the border.

  • LMAC  Wondering how local you are to Loch an Eilein. We usually start by having a hearty breakfast at Mountain Cafe or if that doesn't fit then we lunch there or at Druie cafe. Sorry that the Aviemore Gallery has gone, although it will do our pockets good as we have bought 3 pieces of artwork there. We asked at the centre but they are in the dark as to what they will be doing with the site of the derelict shops.   As well as loving the walk round the loch it is also a sight of remembrance for us as our last 2 Goldies are Scattered there. The first was put to sleep at 14 yrs and 4 months when we lived in Shetland.

WENDY  Hope you have a great time with daughter.  Remember bumping into you once at Brodie....a long time before the new extension. How is everyones health now?

  • OG - Hope J has a good journey home. Sounds as if all is well, do hope so. We just enjoyed the programme on penguins, on BBC2, with Chris Packham. Very informative - always wondered how they kept warm!! (If you don't see the programme, its to do with their sophisticated feathers.....)
  • J arrived about 7:30.  Oncologist and Endocrinologist each have a follow-up recommendation for his GP, but all is well.  Next appointment next year, again without a scan.

Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!

  • We are weekend locals. Mountain Cafe is lovely and I also love the potting shed at Inschriach  - their cakes are just to die for. I do like looking at the artwork in local shops and cafes but I have now found the most amazing artist in Glasgow who does commissions. He painted a photograph I took on the western Isles for hubby's Christmas, brilliant and stunning are under statements (i find it hard to tell the difference between the photo and the oil painting it is just so exacting) so I am going to look out some photos from the highlands and get him to paint another.
