WEEKLY CHAT (Non-osprey) SUNDAY,JANUARY 18. 2015

Hi all!

  • Lindybird - That is wonderful news for you both.

  • Did anyone watch Wolf Hall last night? I didn't but could watch it on BBC IPlayer. The reviews in my newspaper said that it was brilliant but picture very dark, trying to reproduce the dark rooms of that era, only lit by firelight and candlelight. I could perhaps cope with that, it is indistinct dialogue that my old ears struggle with.

  • Thanks, Everyone - we have been eating celebratory bacon with cheesey baked potatoes, LOL!!!
  • Didn't watch Wolf Hall but have heard that its a good production. Watching WinterWatch right now - lovely wild geese!
  • OG: What was that all about - ear infection? They can throw you - literally. Hope you're doing better now.

Lindybird: Good news for your OH; I was wondering about that photo (lighting and all that) but cute as you say.   :-)

Busy day here; lolling this afternoon before meeting friend for early dinner and meeting this evening.  Would be a good afternoon for working in the garden, but too tired!

  • Good Morning, All. We were woken at 2.35am and again at 7.20am by a recorded message nuisance call!! We are going to turn our phone off at night in future.........
  • Do hope that OG and J are feeling a whole lot better today. Obviously a nasty infection, and not easy to shift. There has been a large amount of unpleasant germs going around this winter. I lost count, over Christmas of the folks who told me they'd had sickness of one kind or another. Lets hope they will decrease now.

I take it you mean that you hope the sickness decreases, not the folks?

    Good morning, by the way!!

Our herring gulls are red listed birds.  Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

We are somewhat bemused here, but pleasantly surprised, and celebrating! My OH has been told that his blood test taken a few days ago shows him to have a very very low count indeed, which means he is completely clear of the cancer!! I did not expect such a resounding result, but of course we're both very relieved. He has an appointment with the Consultant in early February when we hope he will say that there will be no more treatment needed, and just a test every 6 months to monitor him. Whoo Hoo!!!!!

Woo Hoo indeed!  I can't tell you how pleased we all are to hear this news.
