Hi all!
Hi all, thanks for birthday wishes and the lovely "cards", nice bit of colour on what has been a drab day here.
Lunch was very nice. OH had soup, beefburger and trimmings, and hot raspberries with ice cream. I had brushetta with a tomato and basil salad, followed by linguine ragu, then hot raspberries with cream. We both finished it off with a coffee.
Read all your news since yesterday. Sad news - one of the eaglets has died - pic coming up showing mum trying to rouse it. That's nature for you, so the strongest one survives.
they announced it on the web page at 10.15pm but I think that must mean morning over there. She'd been trying to rouse it - far left as you look at the picture.
eldest one is now being fed by mum

Although its sad, its obviously what happens when a sibling dies. Harriet is now feeding from the dead chick and also giving some to the surviving one.
Evening all:
Rita: That was a lovely arrangement - very delicate. What was the yellow flower? It looked familiar but I couldn't think of the name.
Heather: Wow, that's a lot of weight for L to loose. Good for her! So glad your new neighbor has revealed her nicer self; she must've been having a terrible day when she went off about the parking and obviously felt bad about it. Surprised that S doesn't want it and it'll be interesting to see if the nephew does.
Lynette: Never had hot raspberries - but with ice cream they sound very yummy indeed. Oh that's a shame about the eaglet. Any speculation on what might have happened?
Off to daughter's early in the a.m., so have a good Thursday everyone.
Been ill. Weak and wobbly. Balance and motor control out of synch. Set off straight down hallway from dining room; brain spun me 90 degrees across hall, then another 90 into lounge and threw me onto the floor! Ambulance men picked me up and pronounced me okay to be watched by family - just a few bruises, still coughing and sneezing; just being very careful!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Oh, OG - I was just writing the above - so sorry that you've had such a bad time, that's grim. Do take care of yourself! Don't write on here, go back to bed!! {HUGS}
OG What an awful thing to happen, thank goodness nothing broken but you must be feeling very shaken up. I'm so glad that you have EE there to keep an eye on you. Take great care of yourself xx
OG - so sorry to hear that you have had such a bad time, very unpleasant for you. I do hope that you are tucked up warm now and looking after yourself. Get better soon.
