With this lovely video, I will say farewell to 2014 and welcome to 2015. Also best wishes for a Happy, Healthy, and Prosperous year for all our Forum and Gabfest friends as well as all our feathered friends, especially EJ and Odin and their 2015 family.

Good evening, ANN and all Gabbers, readers and watchers.
Willow this email reminded me of you. Here are some photos from it that I hope we can all enjoy. Note the messages. The grey day one is very much my philosophy of life.
Good morning all. We recieved a good battering last night but luckily everything seems to be intact! I love your pics June and I agree that grey days are also beautiful! In fact i love winter skies better than summer skies they can be dramatic with strong shadows. I am enjoying this wild weather but maybe because im not getting damage or flooding to my property! I might feel different if i was at risk of flooding .
The site has a different look to it this morning all the dividing boxes seem to have dissappeared! You have to guess where the reply box is! Maybe just my computer! New design?? Still it works so no matter
Willow maybe your site appearance is back to normal by now. I vaguely remember that this has happened to me in the past, but for now nothing has changed for me.
COUNTDOWN FOR EJ'S RETURN TO LOCH GARTEN NEST
70 days till Wed March 25th
Still haven't had time or opportunity to figure a countdown for ODIN, but will do so soon. We know theoretically that it is about a week or ten days after EJ's return.
Twilight visitor.

lucky you, CC!! I never see him.
From the Walkhighlands Facebook page. Nuff said, this photo speaks for itself.
These photos have nothing at all to do with wildlife, just a bit of Scottish culture that I found interesting.
The following excerpt is from the Walkhighlands Facebook page: "The Burning of the Clavie 2015 - photos taken tonight. Every year on Old New Year's Eve - January 11th (or the 10th if the 11th is a Sunday) the Burning of the Clavie fire festival takes place at Burghead on the Moray coast. Pretty windy tonight but still a spectacle to remember."
Of course I wanted to know more and so went to Wikipedia "burning of the Clavie". An interesting feature is trying to get a burning stave to take home to light your own household fires.
The above photos are from Wikipedia and Walkhighlands.
