With this lovely video, I will say farewell to 2014 and welcome to 2015. Also best wishes for a Happy, Healthy, and Prosperous year for all our Forum and Gabfest friends as well as all our feathered friends, especially EJ and Odin and their 2015 family.

Just posted this png image. WHAT A RELIEF!!
I had never paid any attention before, but closer inspection reveals that Jpg is my own photos taken with my camera, Png is everything else. This thread wouldn't post either the last few days.
Picture and accompanying article from The Scotsman.

And so is the current life of ospreys in Montana USA
BTW I do hope the recent high winds in Scotland were Kind to our osprey nests. Do we have any word on the status of any of them, especially LG??
June, I was wondering the same myself about how the Scottish nests fared in the winds. I expect we will hear in due course.
Kind regards, Ann
Hi Ann, I think Scotland is under another amber alert, but I didn't get details. At least the osprey are safely away from this. Most of them anyway. What about the recent sighting -where? One near Land's End, still warmer than the Highlands.
Hi June, I've forgotten if the Cornwall bird really was an Osprey or something else. And sorry, I haven't heard the Scottish weather forecast tonight, but will try to catch it again later tonight. We are in the more mild south/southeast of England, with only a bit of rain today and lots of sun, though still cold for here, though not below freezing during the day.
From The Scotsman
Burn's Night is fast approaching and the place of his birth is ready for the celebration.
I hadn't heard that bit of news Ann, but quite often early or late sightings are mistaken ID. Wishful thinking on the part of some osprey fan?
