June nice to see Appollo looking well and with a fish!
Keith your Christmas cake looks amazing a lot of work gone into that! I make the excuse that I am working thats why i didnt get round to doing my cake earlier but you have an even more punishing schedule than I !! You started yours in October!! Im lazy.
I was very lucky this year and recieved "The Life of Ospreys" but not only that also "Rutland Water" absolutely delighted with my gifts and have been spoilt by OH!! Some beautiful photos in both books and will help me to understand the Rutland birds dynasties better
Hi 58Willow - Hope you enjoyed your break at Christmas - You have two good books to keep you reading and next season you will follow Rutland Ospreys knowing the history from 1996 when the first eight were translocated thro to 2015 season. (I,ll drop you a PM before New Year).
You are as busy as myself and I do admire people who provide a service to the country like yourself - without you many would not have visited friends and relatives this Christmas and New Year. I have been in the signal box this Christmas controlling my Class 37 (Loch Awe) :):).
My children chipped in together and bought me the DVD - "Life Story" - Think my wife prompted them - she is fed up me moaning that I missed some episodes on my travels and she deleted from the Sky Planner.
The cake hyas not been cut yet as too much other stuff - but will be in the next few days.
The osprey whisky flask I picked up at the market in Glasgow just before Christmas has been cleaned and topped up with whisky to let in the New Year.
It is a lovely flask by Royal Doulton limited edition from 1977 for Whyte and MacKay - "Birds of Prey collection - The Osprey.
Dare I say that he adds a nice touch of class - or is that an insult to the rest of the collection?
The whole collection was class as is with most Doulton.
Shall not search for any more though as Osprey is fine amongst the whisky. My wife inherited a classic Doulton Collection Henry VIII and his six wives which still has the pride of place.
.
Another Christmas favorite: What Child is This, Harry Belafonte
Some of the smallest of my collection of Nativity Scenes.
This may be my favorite and it certainly is the smallest. It is one of my Outer Banks ornaments, purchased at the year round Christmas Shop there. it is hand spun glass.
This is my second favorite Nativity scene. Joseph and Mary holding the Babe are actually two Christmas ornaments, sold at Hallmark Cards.
On the Sixth Day of Christmas my true love said to me - Don't you think it is about time you cut the cake.
Well CC did say how could anyone put a knife in one.
The cake looks as good and tastes as good as it looked from the outside and nice with a slice of Wenslydale Cheese with Cranberry and a glass of vintage port.
