WEEKLY CHAT (non-osprey topics) SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 16, 2014

Happy New Week all.

  • Evening all:  Cleaned out some old clothes this morning - finally said goodbye to a few items I wouldn't want to be seen in; heaven knows I can't stand to look at myself in them!

Lindybird: Assume you've left?? Hope you got your OH's shirts and that you found your shoes.  (Didn't see them in my closet redo!)  A shame about your friend's dog....

Diane: Doesn't look like the weather has improved that much for you.  I gather they managed to change the direction of the solar panels, but that it's run out of power for now, having completed about 80% of the "chores" assigned. Hope it wakes up again later...

dibnlib:  I also Googled Tombola  (still not sure what is is/was, or if I saw it!), but did see the one of the two people on that beach at St. Ninian's. What a marvellous photo, especially with the setting sun hitting the surf just so.

OG: Not sure (in some climates at least) that the highlight in Fall would be knowing the Winter was the next season. :-)   I envy you seeing the starlings - that looks spectacular on the videos I've seen.  Have a rest tomorrow (Sunday)!

Lynette: Thanks for the shot of the birds-eye view of - what? - traffic lights

AQ: Like you, I have a draw for all the stuff I need only when I'm traveling.  Ha!  I spotted the sign to the winery in front of the (pretty) St. John the Baptist church!  I like the looks of Pemberton, especially the forest, and Albany.  Have never seen a black cockatoo; off to Google them...

Brenda: I should've thought AMSmith would've been much in evidence in the UK - but we have a steady stream of literary, music types through here, thanks to a very well funded program affiliated with the University.  Of course, I can imagine that Santa Barbara wouldn't be a hard speaking engagement.

Off to hose down before dinner.  Am out tomorrow, so have a good day all.

  • Annette - TQ for starting us off again on another week. With reference to what dibnlib meant try looking for tombolo (not tombola) and I think all will be explained.

Lindybird - enjoy your wee holiday and I'm sure we'll get some photos to remind us of sunshine and warmth!

  • Good Morning, All, & thanks to Annette for starting us off again. Thanks also to Liz for the good wishes. We are off at this time tomorrow, so a couple of posts from me today then I will go quiet!!

  • Thank you Annette for starting us off.

Linda – Hope you have a wonderful holiday.

Dau2 & Co went to the Multiple Births Xmas picnic today. S-i-l came 2nd in the pusher/pram race. Er, no babies on board! Miss3 won the raffle, a monster toy dog, bigger than herself. That will make the puppy I have in her Xmas parcel look rather puny. At least mine will fit in her bed LOL

  • Hi, all.

    Lindy: Have a good holiday!!!

Have a good sleep, Philae. :-)

  • If its any consolation, AQ, I always think that the extra large toys are really an adults choice: small children like something they can carry around easily. Nice that she won, though!!
  • Good morning all very wet again. Just to say Lindybird enjoy your holiday.

  • Thanks Margo - & AQ!!        EDIT:   & Diane!  - just seen your earlier post!

Busy busy, here.  Just came onto the PC to check my emails (about 76 for the last 3 days LOL!) and found one from the National Lottery - we have won 25 pounds! whoopie!  perhaps a dinner out sometime.

  • Margo - sorry Ive not had time to email you, but you know I think of you often. Sorry its so wet there. No chance of a hosepipe ban for a while, then!!  I hope your OH enjoyed his trip to see his Mum and that you & Billie have been keeping each other company.

  • Here is another animal picture for everyone:
