WELCOME, Friends, to our Gabfest Chatroom for our first Special Event for winter, 2014. We have added a large flat-screen television above our fireplace. This is mostly for viewing of osprey, but it will come in handy tonight for our music videos. It may be cold outside, but thanks to a roaring fire in the fireplace it is warm and cosy in here.
Behind the usual furnishings of couch and chairs, comfortable padded folding chairs have been added, so there is plenty of room for any observers from other threads or around the world. At the back of the room a table has been set up for snacks. At present it holds a platter of miniature Maryland Crab Patties with Dill Sauce for dipping, another platter of Blueberry Crisps Pastries and a bowl of steaming spiced cider. Also a combination of watermelon, cantelope and honeydew balls in a hollowed out watermelon shell. There is plenty for everyone, but if you want more variety, feel free to add your favorite drink or snack as you enter.
So come on in, comment so we know you are here. If you are just watching, welcome and we do hope you too will sign in so we know you are with us. Just be sure to let us know you are only watching and do not want a turn. Now during our gathering time, we can fill our plates while we establish our Presentation Order List. Music will start at 7:00 pm (UK time of course)

Hello CC, Mrs Staffords reminds me very much of another lady I once heard on a record: Mrs Florence Foster-Jenkins. I think I sound like this when I'm in the shower, singing to myself. These ladies are courageous to sing in public
EDIT: OOOps: she did this on purpose? I would never have guessed anybody would do this!

Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Good song, CC. Didn't know Jo Stafford did this. She makes it funny.
She was doing at as SPOOF with her husband! They were tremendously popular in the 1950s - 1970's.
June, let's hear your choice, please.
That was fantastic CC. It reminds me of Les Dawson (an entertainer from the UK who used to deliberately play the piano badly). I enjoyed that.
My bird photos HERE
I think it is my turn now.
Personality
Not hilariously funny, but catchy and amusing, I think.
