This topic replaces Satellite Tracked Ospreys (non-LG) Aug 2012-Sep 2014
The scope - following the travels of tracked ospreys "not from Loch Garten", either originating in the UK or overseas.
Can I ask for some help in starting off the thread. If you are the first person to post about a bird in the restarted thread, can you please give the name of the project which is tracking it, and supply a link to the project website.
Many thanks - Sue

Hello all. Thanks for the 7H update I just hope that she stays safe and moves away from the pylons although she seems keen on them. Does antone know what happened to Blue VV as no information has been transmitted. Did she fail to make the Sahara crossing? Hope just a failure of transmitter.
What is Tero up to?

No data has been received since 11 September when VV was in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. The tracker was behaving normally and it is more likely that she perished in the mountains or desert beyond than that the tracker failed.
Birgit s transmitter comes back to life after a mammoth desert crossing. Not far from Millie:
Thankyou jaydee for the reply. I do remember that but had hoped it was a failure. Such a tough journey for these young ospreys. Very sad but expected as the mortality rate is so high for these youngsters:(
