This is a new thread to follow the travels of these three young ospreys from the Loch Garten nest.

LG blog on the ringing and tagging of Millicent & Seasca. Their younger sister Druie is not tagged, but ringed Blue/White AN8.
Breagha
A male from the 2013 brood, hatched 28th May and fledged on 19th July. Breagha’s ring is Blue/white CF4.
LG blog on the ringing and tagging Breagha and elder sibling Oighrig.
The migrations of Breagha and Oighrig were previously followed in this thread. Contact was lost with Oighrig in January 2014, but Breagha has survived and is living in the tidal creeks of the Casamance river in southern Senegal.
Have seen the comments on Daily Update that today is Breagha's birthday (as well as Moffer's) - what will he do?
Last GE update was on the 20th, so one should be due soon.
Breagha is on the move !!!!

Breagha : The Return part one
Thanks Karen and Alan. Fingers crossed for Breagha's safe return. I imagine we will all be holding our breath while waiting for each new update, right up until he visits Mum and Dad at LG!
Kind regards, Ann
Trust that the updates appear more regularly now that Breagha is moving towards us (hopefully), even more to worry about!!

Looking forward to the next update, if he has decided to go back to where he was then that is fine just as long as he stays safe.

So Breagha is heading north......
Unfortunately, I think his transmitter is set to only upload weekly data packages at the moment. This was the schedule for Caledonia, and I think Breagha's is very similar; some of the changeover dates may differ by a few days.
10th March – 1st May, 10th Aug - 31st Oct – 9 points per day, transmissions every 3 days
1st Nov – 8th March – 2 points per day (08.00 and 16.00GMT), transmissions weekly
1st May – 10th Aug - 3 points per day, transmissions weekly
Oh What a long wait Thanks SUE
We should be due another update very soon - I'm looking forward to seeing where he is now.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

Indeed. Very tense given the weather in the Sahara.
