Thought it sensible to create a new thread where we can keep each other abreast of which Ospreys have returned to the Public sites. Please don't post any information on non protected locations

Tiger: I'm sure it was black "80" as Darvic rings are meant to be read from the foot upwards.
I am also sure it is black 80.

Yes but there is more to it than that. I will check the story.

PIcture from Tweed Valley taken earlier today:
Well, I have had a nice day! I was up at the Dodd Wood lower view point for 3 hours, and saw a youngster on a fence post, with the male on another who then went and caught a fish ! Father and son then flew off nestwards. Later a youngster was on a dead tree then had a go at hovering and a little practice splash. They are quite far away, I have to say, I could not tell with my binocs that the male had actually caught a fish, the person on the telescope told us.
I asked after the tracking and it is working but they have not sorted how they are going to present the results online. Maybe a weekly point on a map with a link from their present Ospreywatch website, starting when they start to migrate.
The live streaming from the nest has stopped now, as they are not their much now.

Thanks Alan for the above news. Makes me kind of sad now that females are leaving, males and the young will probably be not far behind. How quickly the osprey season has flashed by. Already anticipating next year.
