Thought it sensible to create a new thread where we can keep each other abreast of which Ospreys have returned to the Public sites. Please don't post any information on non protected locations
32/05 has now returned to Rutland as well as 03/97
Thanks Alan - that's fantastic news, I bet you're happy about that. It looks like 32 needs to get his act together sharpish or she'll shack up with 5R at Manton.
Sandy : Really happy that she has returned but I did think she would pair up with 32. Will have to wait and see what happens.
Loch of the Lowes are considering tagging this season:

Alan, I'm afraid that 32 should have been more fastidious in refurbishing his own nest rather than swanning around the other nests. I know that sounds harsh but with the ever increasing osprey numbers there is serious competition out there. I think he could get her back as they seemed to bond last year but he needs to get his finger out (if ospreys can do such a thing).
I saw the blog from LotL regarding satellite tagging earlier. There were 3 comments posted when I last looked - 2 were in favour and one was from someone who didn't even agree with ringing birds let alone fitting satellite tags.

That's great news Tiger. I know that they were the first pair confirmed to have returned, but it seems really soon for them to be laying.
Sandy : I read that comment and hopefully he will be in the minority.
Tiger : Great news from Tweed valley. I really thought Glaslyn would be first.
If that egg was laid yesterday it is possibly the earliest egg ever laid in the UK, at least of those nests in the public domain.

Thanks Alan - is there a live streaming cam anywhere for this? Probably not but I thought I would ask you just in case there was.
