Will EJ return this week? What if another female tries to claim the nest? Will super-Odin return to fish another year? Or will EJ take another mate (she'd better not!!) Will YOU be the lucky blogger to catch the first glimpse of an osprey at LG? Tune in to the Loch Garten LIVE webcam for the first installment of Loch Garten Ospreys - 2010!!
Seriously, lots of interesting chat on the last page or two of the previous week's chatter. Catch up now because you won't have time once the ospreys are back in town! :-)
Gosh: Live images from LG show lovely sunset.
Thanks to Alan and Sandy for links re Rutland Water. Think I assumed it was RSPB due to seeing it on TV a couple of times, when they do not make these things clear.
Hope you enjoy Dublin, DjoanS ! Maybe the LG Ospreys will wait until you return before they appear...
Husband was told by the Doctor that he has sinus blockage, so no need for antibiotics, just has to use the old fashioned steam inhalation to get his airways clear again. I shall nag him twice daily now, to remember to do it.
How interesting about the 'Snowflakes' - they are so pretty. What would we do without Google, its a wonder.
OG hope the visit to the dentist went OK for OH. Love the sound of celery and cashew nut soup. Please, if you have time could you let me have a copy.. In anticipation Liz
Google is great - very handy - grandson just called asking me to Google the Map option for an address where he's going to apply for a job. Snowflakes/Snowdrops. Both very pretty. Enjoy Dublin Djoan!
Annette Here are two tools to check where the ISS is now. See http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/realdata/tracking/
and take a virtual ride aboard it. See http://winearth.terc.edu/appISSFlight/index.html
I hope the skies over southern California are clear and you manage to see it. It should be magnificent.

Hi all, been out & about enjoying the signs of spring. Yesterday went to Weir Wood reservoir; inevitably the osprey which had been spotted there the day before, had moved on, but it was worth the trip to see herons on nest, and great crested grebes doing their courtship dance.
Today was down at RSPB Pulborough Brooks and managed to find this (not my video). Had never seen a Long Tailed Tit nest before - what a delicate construction:

Thanks, Sue C - just enjoyed the video, & had to laugh out loud as they squeeeezed in and out!
Hello everyone - I cannot get the LG live camera, i have been looking every morning for a few days and all it shows is a white screen with a wee red cross top left hand side. I have never had problems before ( last year) and I seem to have Windows media player - is anyone else having this problem ? I thought that the LG cam was now operational-----
Hi HeatherB : Sorry you cant get the live camera. This is the link I use:

Thanks for all the reports (especially Osprey arrivals), links etc today. Annette – hope you saw plenty of those Whales this afternoon! Terry M – yes, soup was whizzed in the blender – not as long as usual, so I thought it was rather like semolina pudding, which I hate – but he enjoyed it; he likes semolina! Was yours carrot and coriander – or carrot and orange? Can’t follow what’s going on at Molly’s nest – apparently one hatched, then she shook it, nibbled it, stood on it and it looked dead – that was one out of five – now she seems to have one live chick and only two eggs – that doesn’t add up! Dibnlib – OH finished with dentist – picked up his new plate – which seems to fit this time – and had two fillings. Will post soup recipe on your page. SueC – loved the Long Tailed Tit nest – looks like its made of Lycra to accommodate a growing family!! Hi, HeatherB – all I can say is that I am having no trouble seeing LG live, is this where you are going? http://www.rspb.org.uk/webcams/birdsofprey/lochgartenvideo.asp
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
