Will EJ return this week? What if another female tries to claim the nest? Will super-Odin return to fish another year? Or will EJ take another mate (she'd better not!!) Will YOU be the lucky blogger to catch the first glimpse of an osprey at LG? Tune in to the Loch Garten LIVE webcam for the first installment of Loch Garten Ospreys - 2010!!
Seriously, lots of interesting chat on the last page or two of the previous week's chatter. Catch up now because you won't have time once the ospreys are back in town! :-)
Hello Cirrus have been watching this nest and it seems as though Linda and her partner really got on with things. Can't get on to that cam this morning says something about too many tries so will try again later. Have a good day.

Your patience was rewarded aquilareen and what a lovely photo you have managed to take.
AQ : I stand corrected. The photo was indeed snowflakes and not snowdrops. See:

This morning I paid a visit to Lagoon 4 at Rutland Water but unfortunately 32(05) was not around. He had been there earlier when they were adjusting the camera but did not show up while I was watching from the hide. Using my binos I did see a buzzard and a small herd of about 12 fallow deer in a field beyond Lagoon 4. It was a bit breezy and chilly there so glad to be home now. Another day perhaps.....
Off to take the thunderdog out. He has been a bit neglected today so far.
Margobird - Alan and I probably made it confusing - he posted snowflakes at Anglesey Abbey. I replied with Birch Trees underplanted with tulips in spring 2007. so he then posted those same trees as they were yesterday!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Thanks original goldfinch but I post on so many forums now that I am thinking I am going to have drop some of them as I am easily confused lol.

Lindybird: This page of the RW website gives a detailed history of the osprey project:

Alan: The webcam on the RW site is now live showing Lagoon 4! As we guessed it is only updated once a minute - better than nothing though!
Thanks Sandy. I was aware that was about to happen but when I last looked it was still showing Manton Bay.
Some more good news:
"Our Male Osprey has arrived at Glaslyn!!!!! At the moment he is in the field by the nest with a huge fish!!!. Fantastic news!!!!!."
How weird. When I use my AOL browser it still shows an old picture of Manton Bay but on IE it is definately Lagoon 4 even though the heading is Manton Bay.
