Will EJ return this week? What if another female tries to claim the nest? Will super-Odin return to fish another year? Or will EJ take another mate (she'd better not!!) Will YOU be the lucky blogger to catch the first glimpse of an osprey at LG? Tune in to the Loch Garten LIVE webcam for the first installment of Loch Garten Ospreys - 2010!!
Seriously, lots of interesting chat on the last page or two of the previous week's chatter. Catch up now because you won't have time once the ospreys are back in town! :-)
Morning all
Got back from my short break after midnight last night - but such wonderful news from yesterday :)))))
Had a good time in Dublin until yesterday when I slipped in the shower & popped a disc yet again! Spent yesterday in agony & wondered at one point if I would actually get home. But I did, and I cried when I logged on to find out the news - partly relief at getting home & partly overwehelming joy at EJ's return.
Can't catch up on all I've missed as its too painful sitting here for long, but hope everyone is well & happy.

DjoanS Oh sorry to hear that. I always say that almost all problems pale into insignificance compared to a back problem. Fortunately I have rarely suffered one but know how painful it can be.

Glad you've sent Odin the bags Diane - diplomatic baggage I trust - no waiting at customs.
DjoanS I'm so sorry! Just take it very carefully now - you must be able to sit in a chair and watch the live video
And a very good moringing to all you fans. I enjoyed the last year's blog read Tiger, thanks for the link and the reminder.
Oh , its such a treat to come on here and see EJ busily tidying the nest. "Now let's see - sideboard over here, sofa here, table there...."
It looks sunny but breezy, so no change there, then, for LG weather.
DjoanS: Sorry to hear about the painful ending to your Dublin Trip - bad luck. Hope you can get some relief, these things are so debilitating. At least the news at LG will cheer you a little.
AQ: Tell us about your excursion into the wilds later, especially if you make friends with any of the snakes!
POETRY CORNER:
We have all been
Expecting you, for the
Long dark months of winter,
Certain only
Of your glad return:
May this year's
Eggs be strong once again,
Born of the two bravest of ospreys
And who are
Clearly,
King and Queen of the Forest!
(read down on the lefthand side for the message...)
Lindybird that is really nice.
Thanks, Cirrus & Tiger ( b l u s h )
Very creative, Lindybird!!!
Thanks - wasn't sure whether to post it as its just a little ditty, ran thru my mind when we were waiting what seemed an age yesterday for the confirmation that it is indeed EJ.
Lovely and sunny morning here in NW UK, so all the sparrows are chasing each other merrily around the garden, and we saw two buzzards circling around up high in the distance from our highest viewpoint. I'm off on shopping & haircut missions, so will be dashing back in between to see dear EJ getting on with the housework.
