Good morning, all, and welcome to the new month's thread. I imagine we'll have to wait and see whether Glesni has actually gone - if she has, she can look back on a season where she has every right to feel very proud of herself!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Cerist lets Clarach take the fish
Cerist had just done the hard work of getting through to the softer fish, when she passed it to Clarach. Cerist now watching as Clarach eats.
Cerist ha the fish again now and Clarach has left
Cerist now has the fish back. Wish Monty would produce a fish each for the girls ... cumon dad!
Thank you for the pics CLARE and BIRDSONG - and for the video SCYLLA (we certainly wouldn't be anywhere without you ! )
It is indeed a flounder .... according to Chat - Cerist got it first (she didn't eat yesterday - Clarach got first dibs and finished the fish on the perch) then let Clarach have it and then took it back.

Monty did produce a fish each. Clarach lost hers over the side of the nest.

Oh floppin eck! thanks TIGER
But Monty didn't yesterday - I've just added an edit to my post saying that Clarach got the fish yesterday - late in the am and ate it all on the perch. ! :( Cerist was very hungry yesterday
just switched on and notice from the posts that Cerist is feeding and can hear Clarach in the background I think giving an occasional shout.

And here is Cerist, really tucking in.
Clarach is really having a shout now.
It sounded like a bit of alarm calling a few mins ago. Clarach descended on the nest and then flew off. Cerist is lying low at present.
