HAPPY NEW WEEK AND NEW MONTH!
Last week's Weekly Chat thread is HERE. The code for this week's Weekly Chat thread is 010913 (in case you ever want to find it from the search box).
Hi, all. Just popped in to leave a quick message for Annette before I forget. I'll catch up with everyone soon. Annette: This series starts on PBS tomorrow night: Earthflight. I've heard that it's wonderful. Unfortunately, I read that for the U.S. audience, they've removed the narration by David Tennant (who is a Scot) and have dubbed in the voice of an American. Shameful!!! So I don't know whether PBS will show the U.K. or the U.S. version. I don't have TV satellite anymore, so I'll have to wait to watch it online.
Margo: So nice to hear from you. I hope that this round of chemo will go easy on you. Big hugs from me!
Big hello to everyone!
Hello All!! I'm back today, and now trying to catch up - I only had intermittent connections to keep up with the threads, so have not been able to reply and have not read everything yet.
Clare: I've never seen a willow warbler, let alone in my garden - how great for you. (& you managed to catch it on camera, too)
dibnlib: So very sorry to read your news about Dillon - my thoughts are with you both, I know this loss will leave a big gap in your family.
Margo: Hope you are 'hanging on in there' as they say these days. Not long now till you can put all this nasty stuff behind you and concentrate on getting your strength back. Thinking of you every day.
Diane/Annette: Do watch Earthflight - we saw it here a while ago and its wonderful. I liked it so much my kids bought me the DVD for Christmas. How dare they change the voiceover!! David Tennant did a truly great job, and I can't imagine that any other voice would be an improvement. -- Big "Hello!!" to you, too Diane!!!
ps... We had a great weekend, with dry weather and nice chats to people, and some good walks. Went out to dinner on Saturday night at our fav. restaurant, as it was my birthday.... but don't tell anyone, as I've decided to give up having birthdays so often, now LOL!!!!
Belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY LINDA.
( I won't tell anybody else LOL )

Diane, I agree with Linda. Earthflight is brilliant. Such a pity they are not using David Tennant's narration. His voice is a large contribution to the whole feel of Earthflight.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LINDYBIRD! SORRY WE'RE LATE.
Did everybody hear that?

-- this is the story of the new Scottish Tapestry, which is being displayed at present in the new Scottish Parliament Building and is going to be travelling around the world to be admired by everyone. From what I've seen, its pretty amazing.
Happy 27th Birthday Linda. (I have the same problem with daus older than I. LOL)
