HAPPY NEW WEEK AND NEW MONTH!
Last week's Weekly Chat thread is HERE. The code for this week's Weekly Chat thread is 010913 (in case you ever want to find it from the search box).
Good morning, all! Annette, at least laughter is a good thing to have stuck in your head - that song always makes me smile.
I'm happy to say that I'm back up to watching two webcams - one of them is the lovely family at Dyfi, while the other is a beautiful peregrine falcon who is incubating three eggs! This is the life.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
We had a quick visit to the lovely reserve at Trimley Marshes yesterday - it was very quiet but I did get a few nice snaps:
The view upriver from the reserve. All the masts in the distance are at Levington Marina.
Downriver you get the unmistakable sight of the biggest container port in the country.
Just as we were looking at all the ducks and gulls this kestrel appeared.
I was pleased to catch this crow as well as a surprised looking kestrel!
Off it flies.
Just as we were leaving these cormorants came flying over.
For those people who don't read the Gabfest: Keith has posted this fantastic link to something I never realised was possible!
Hand Feeding Ospreys
I couldn't believe my eyes!
amazing video, thank you
Good Morning: Woke to the gentle sound of rain on the windows: a few days of damp forecast, but the ground needs it as we have had a long dry spell.
Thanks to Clare for the link to the amazing video - never seen anything like it, my jaw dropped open!! Nice pics of your visit, also Clare, you always seem to see something interesting.
Annette: Not going to the cinema today :-(( as although the film is on about three times today, my Friend is not available to go: she is on the committee for School Governers for a small local school and takes it all very seriously, never missing attendance. We are off out (OH & I) to look at worktops for the kitchen as I need a new sink and we have decided to put in new worktops at the same time. The cupboards are still good, thankfully, as they are good quality and should last but the worktops never seem to look, well, quite clean - they have a dimpled surface which seems to hold the dirt! (sounds awful put like that, now!)
Hugs to Margo!!
Sounds as if it will certainly be emotional, Heather.
I too am wondering about OG and yesterday decided it must be her eye which is a nuisance and she is not able to cope with reading at present.
Right, off out now into the rain!!
dibnlib, sorry to hear you bad news about dilon hugs to you
