Weekly Chat, Sunday, March 14

Hi all: Lots of news about ospreys and other stuff plus photos (if you're lucky!)  on the previous pages.

  • Good afternoon original goldfinch I realised the web cam was up when the Abernethy feed cam had disappeared.  Anticipation and excitement really building up now.

Glad your son is getting on OK.

    Margobird

  • Good afternoon Heron 77 I expect you know by now but theLoch of Lowes web cam is up and running so now all we need are our glorious ospreys.  Don't know how on earth I am going to keep up with everything, this is becoming a full time hobby and I really have to discipline myself to get things done before I log on.

    Have a good day.

    Margobird

  • Alan it is lovely to see Molly in colour.  What a beautiful face she has.

    Margobird

  • Brenda, have a great trip. Good to see you are taking the laptop lol

Margobird, good morning and hope all OK with you

Annette, had a chuckle about losing the stiff upper lip. Not quite as bad here in CT lol

    Have good days everyone

  • Hi Gary I am fine and enjoying milder weather.  Getting very excited now about the ospreys.  Have a good day yourself.

    Margobird

  • Good to hear Margobird. Nice and mild here, getting out, making the most of it:)

    Have a good afternoon

  • Auntie – I’m sure I read the Moomintroll books when I was young. Was that the same person who wrote Pippi Longstocking? (Sorry, can’t remember what book was mentioned in the original post.)

Re animals and grieving, when our cats have died the ones left behind usually troop down the garden with us while we dig the grave. If they don’t, then any that were close, eg brother/sister, seem to look for the missing one. We try and let them all sniff one that has died so they know they won’t be around. Annette, Thunder is beautiful.

Alan, didn’t see the Lily pic, and Tiger your cartoon went missing too, although the follow-up is there!

Diane, snake story please! And AQ, thanks for more history.  Are your windfarms within half a mile of housing, as they are doing here?  We haven’t had much wind with this cold weather, they seem to have been standing still a lot. I know we have to do something, but, as per, nothing seems thought through.

Annette, it looked like Phoebe just flicked the egg out with her beak, amazing.  I spotted Margobird on the chat there once when I was reading/watching, and there is someone called ejandodin who might be someone on here.

Gary, I’ve never dared buy a Yorkie, they might tell me it’s not for girls J

Jsb – watching Scotland’s Winter Wonderland before I carry on reading, beautiful!

I always say thank you when my computer tells me “virus database has been updated”
