Hi all: Lots of news about ospreys and other stuff plus photos (if you're lucky!) on the previous pages.
Tiger - I am also sorry to learn the sad news. Eleven years is quite a chunk of time and will hold many memories for you.
ChloeB & Tiger's Osprey Data
Morning Diane although the procedure for the removal of these skin cancers is not pleasant on the forehead, I am getting used to it now and of course with the anticipation mounting for the return of our ospreys I will not even notice the discomfort. Have a good day.
Margobird
Good morning aquilareen I won't get rubbed out but I am just prone to them. I never sit in the sun so it is all a bit of mystery to me why they keep appearing. I was told that fair skinned blue eyed people are more prone.
Good morning Maureen and I say again it is so nice to have you back. I expect you know by now but just press control B to get the bold on and control to exit bold.
You are right about wanting to give little Hope a cuddle she really is so cute. The webcam is down this morning as they have lost their internet connection so hope they can fix it soon. I miss them both. Have a good day.
Fantastic news Tiger! It's all happening now! :)
Wow Tiger wonder who it was. When I looked earlier it looked a bit like a dove sitting on the nest.
I think the dove came after the osprey had left.

Also worth noting that today is the spring equinox. It occurs at 17.32 today.
This is a very useful tool when watching webcams around the world. See http://www.eeph.com/~matthew/world.gif
Afternoon all from a very wet Northumberland ... still, I suppose it means I don't have to water the plants that I put in the garden in the other day.
Tiger - thanks for the link to the APOD pic ... fabulous ... and an osprey at Loch of the Lowes already, fantstic news. Sorry about your sad news too.
Annette - I don't have a cat to stroke to lower my BP ... or a dog ... but I do have a 'rescue' budgie ... Harry! He belonged to an old lady who had to go into a home and wasn't able to take him with her ... such a shame. He was only a few months old then ... but is 8 now. He has a cage but he is rarely in it as he has freedom to roam - within limits:)) He's a real character and very tame .... never thought I could get so attached to a budgie!
Diane - I don't know if the pair of barn owls are the same ones as last year, but the first entry in the Diary for 2010 says "at about 6pm both individuals were seen in the nestbox barn for probably the first time since last autumn. This is the first time the birds have ventured back to the nest site this year." I don't know if that means they are the same birds or not ... I took it to mean they were, but I could be wrong... wouldn't be the first time :)))
Thanks to everyone else for chat, links, pics etc
Take care all
Joan - avid bird and nature watcher in Northumberland!

Afternoon all from TI,
Its all been happening this morning while I was out and about especially at LOL.
Tiger : I am really sorry to hear about your friend. As others have said already there are members of this group that I would really miss should anything happen to them. Also thanks for the link to the APOD picture. Absolutely stunning. Finally thanks for the link to the photo of the osprey at LOL this morning. Great news.
Weather is miserable here today. Raining off and on with low cloud. Not good for osprey sightings today.
Off to catch up on webcams etc.
