Hi all: Lots of news about ospreys and other stuff plus photos (if you're lucky!) on the previous pages.
HALLO, ALL: 'Flew' back in last night, so busy day today feeding the washing machine (did we really wear all those t shirts?) & collecting Dog from the kennels. Have only had time to glance quickly at the latest Blog from Alice & co., so will write some more when I've had time to read through the acres of posts I've missed. In the absence of any knowledge about you all, just hope you are all OK/fine/warm enough. We had a great time in the sunshine & were told regularly about all the snow back home, so think we have missed quite a bit of that. Good to be back online & catching up with news.
Yay! Lindybird is back! I was just asking about you. Seems like you were gone for a year! Hope you had a great time.
Welcome back Lindybird and I hope you had a great holiday. We are all ready for the action with most of the webcams up and running.
Latest tweet from Rutland Ospreys:" Cameras being set up in Manton Bay today and tomorrow, hopefully will have first pictures in the Lyndon Centre at the weekend. Open 9-5"

Thanks Alan: Just about to post the same about the camera at Manton Bay, but you beat me to it. That answers my question from a few days ago about them having 2 cameras. I believe that the feed on the web will be as before with updates every few seconds and not live streaming.
This post is for Annette and anyone else who likes to follow the Big Rig Truckcam. Big Rig Steve is now driving across North Dakota directly into Fargo where the Red River is flooding. Several hundred volunteers have worked with the National Guard to fill over a million sandbags as the river swells. The river has risen 3 feet in just the last 24 hours. The waterway is now well out of its banks on the North Dakota/Minnesota border, and it's officially in Major Flood Stage. I don't know whether you will be able to see any of the flooding or not as he enters the area in the next day or so. http://www.bigrigtruckcam.com/
Very sorry to interrupt the bird posts. Go ospreys!!!

Terry, LOL, what a great piece of advertising. All the ladies i knew immediately went out and started eating them just to prove a point!!
Thanks for the welcomes. Yes, we did enjoy ourselves, doing nothing much. I got over my Not So Good Feeling after about two days into the holiday, by which time Husband started with a shocking head cold which he probably caught on the 'plane. Apart from that, we are fine & now busy catching up on all fronts. Youngest son is in Singapore at present, having gone out to visit his In-Laws who are working out there: he arrived a few days ago minus his suitcase, which he was told was still in Heathrow Airport- they got it out to him after a couple of days so at least it was returned to him.
Oh! I'm so excited to think that now all the webcams are going up again. How am I going to find time to watch them all??
Loved your cartoon, Tiger. Let's hope that the snow will not now return here until next December at least.
7500 watching Molly the barn owl on Ustream.tv. Eggs due to hatch from today.
Hi everyone.Spent a good few minutes watching a sparrowhawk feeding in one of the gardens facing the rear of the house, earlier today. I'm fairly certain it was a male but I didn't get a good view of the front of the bird. Can't tell you what it ate though but one thing I can say is that I watched the sparrowhawk feeding for a good few minutes, so I imagine that's one well fed raptor. A magpie made a feeble attempt to mob the sparrowhawk but was obviously unsuccessful.AQ: Thanks for the latest installment of SA history. Always a fasinating read.Alan: Thanks for the notice about the Glaslyn webcam. Nice screenshot.Margobird: I know exactly what you mean about keeping up with everything. I expect when the LG ospreys return, most of my internet usage will be watching the drama unfold at Loch Garten.Tiger: That's a hillarious cartoon.Lindybird: Welcome back and glad you had a great time and nice sunny weather. I'm I the only one that thinks it seems to be there's more stuff goes into the washing machine on return than goes into suitcases when going. All the best everyone. Happy Thursday.Paul.
