Good morning all from a very sunny Poole.  Cold first thing and in the evenings still but lively to feel the warmth of the sun during the day.  Doing my usual Monday morning catch up but unfortunately all the photos have disappeared for now,

Alan Thanks for the news of osprey sightings and the wonderful capture of the peregrine falcon, also for news about all the eggs that are now being laid.  I see the Norfolk Eagle has 3 chicks now and that seemed to happen fairly quickly,  Apparently there has been some sibling rivalry already but food supplies are good there and they are good parents so it is likely all 3 will make it.  Perhaps Phoebe's eggs willl have hatched now but will have to wait until later to check.

Diane sorry to read you are unwell, hope you are feeling a bit better today.

autnie it sounds so cold for you still.  At what time of the year does it warm up a bit.

My 2 delightful pied wagtails seem to have moved on now.  The same as last year they only seem to come into the garden when it is very wet or cold.  I have just looked up when their breeding season starts and it is May and I read that 25% adult birds will die during the breeding season which seems rather sad.  they do usually lay clutches of 4 eggs though.

My other garden birds are not so frantic for food all the time, they usually eat first thing, then again at lunchtime and between 4-5 they really feed themseves up for the night. 

We have had a bluetit nesting box up for 3 years and up to now it has not been used but we have noticed a bluetit checking it out over the weekend so perhaps we will be lucky this year.

Hi everyone. Been reading but not posting the last couple of days as had a busy weekend, planning trips for when our mums come out this year, and generally running around.

Wished my mum Happy Mothers day yesterday. Our card hadn't arrived but the box from Thornton's had and she assured me that was the important one!! lol

Afternoon all from TI,

This morning went on a combined haircut and shopping mission followed by a picnic in the car at Barnwell Country Park. Temps are at last starting to recover and today I saw a butterfly fluttering about. I have yet to see any daffodils flowering though.

Over 1100 watching on Phoebe s cam and its not even daylight there. 

Good afternoon Gary, like you I am now restless waiting for our ospreys to return and I so hope it will be EJ and Odin again.  Lots of sightings in the UK now so can't be long.

Hi Margobird. Yes, those sightings are really wetting my appetite now:) Hope you are OK.

Hello Alan I was lucky enough to be watching and saw the feed.  Love your name for them "bobbleheads".  Must be plenty of food coming in as I noticed part of a fish on the right hand side of the nest.   Seeing things like really warms my heart.  She is so gentle with them as well.
