HAPPY NEW WEEK!!!
Here's a link to last week's Weekly Chat thread. The code for this week's Weekly Chat is WC250813 (in case you ever want to search for it from the search box).
I was away most of last week, and I think it's too late for me to get caught up on replies. I have read all of your news and have loved all the photos! I enjoyed the report and pics from AQ's most recent trip (yay, ducks! And loved that pelican, also the big trees). Wonderful photos from Mulberry and NiteOwl (lilies are one of my very, very favorite flowers; yours are super lovely!). Beautiful dragonfly from Alicat. I really loved the very majestic photos from Lindy -- ducks and deer! Woo hoo! That's an especially beautiful species of deer. Beautiful hibiscus from Alan. Love your increasingly subversive signatures, Alan. LOL! Glad that Mulberry saw an osprey! Happy belated birthday to Jess.Glad that Cerist at Dyfi has been found! Nice to see Mike posting here. Brenda: Are you glad or relieved to say good-bye to the puppy? LOL OG: Hope your sparrow hawk was okay after the window strike! Thanks for posting the excellent photos of handsome Diesel, handsome George, and your own beautiful self!Nice to see Lynette. I hope you have a grand holiday in Austria.I hope that Limpy is feeling better!I'm so very glad that Margo has had good results from the chemo. Sending good energy to you, Margo.Everyone have a great week! It's Indian Summer here and the temperatures this week will be 90 - 100 F (32.2 - 37.7 C) with very high humidity. Yuck.
OG All the best with your eye check up tomorrow, and enjoy the shopping. Thanks for the advice on my mounting jobs, helps me to feel less guilty, I've not cut the hedges for 2 years, and not sure how I'll get on wielding the hedge cutter since my stroke, Mulberry was never any good when having a go in the past, he hacks at it to within an inch of the bushes life!! lol which is why I prefer to do it, the hardest part for me is the continuous bending up and down clearing it all up, that really makes me dizzy and ill. Still I've till end of Sept/Oct to get it done, so if we can make a start next week should be good.
Heather B The restaurant Sound lovely, I hope you're keeping well.
Clare and Alan thanks for your photo's, Felixstowe is very nice, we went there as most of you know in March 2012. I like the Cheeky Starling pic Alan, I bet that Cow/Bull was enjoying getting its back tickled/scratched. lol :-)

Lindybird said:Ooooh! Who mentioned Michael Palin?! The older women's crumpet!!! Nice pics of Felixstowe, Clare - never been there.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Dibnlib - I haven't changed the doorbell tune yet. No time!
Linda - I enjoyed pics of LM Hall.
Hello Everyone. I'm going so fast I surely will lap myself eventually. Oh yes, I know about snap and mashing tea from reading novels set UpOver.
Trip saga finale: After returning from our cruise we went up to the Mannum Lookout. It has been a good winter for rain. Also the Murray wouldn't have much water in it if it weren't for the weirs and barrages that restrict its flow. The view up river.
Across the river.
View of Mannum and downstream
.The End. Next trip report - who knows when <grin>
Evening all: Interesting pix of Felixstowe area (thank you Clare) and Down Under from AQ.
Heather: Oooh, that's my kind of menu - and price - with wine replenished free and a cognac on the house. It's a wonder anyone gets anything done after lunch. Two hours is perfect for lunch; much more civilized than the 20 minutes-plus all too often allotted;
Warmish here this evening. Storms to the East but we're dry and sunny. Did ironing, went to Costco and managed a stop at Ross (Dress for Less!) en route for a couple of domestic knickknacks. Dinner all ready to go. Have a good Wednesday everyone
Heather B said:NiteOwl - please be very careful if you are thinking about using the hedge cutter. You could always get Mulberry to do it with you acting as foreman so that he doesn't overdo it ;-)
Thanks AQ for your holiday photo's, you've been to so many lovely places, they will keep you going until the next time, it's lovely to look back over them.:-)
Annette, sounds like you've had another busy day, hope you sleep well.
Good night.
Good Morning, Everyone. Dull here but dry. No rain until slight showers tomorrow.
More interesting pics from AQ! You do get about!!! Thanks for posting, its all interesting especially to those of us who have not been Down Under.
Annette: It was mentioned on our News this morning that they are finally getting those fires under control, but its been a huge area affected by this (& presumably affected a lot of the wildlife, too, sadly) Glad that you are not living too near and are going to be OK.
We are off out shortly for boring shopping. OH has run out of the special paint for repainting the metal bench seat, and we need more dogfood etc. An exciting trip to B&Q and Sainsburys is on the cards. Will post more pics later. Have a good day, Everyone.
Special love to Margo, who I hope is having a better week, at home this time.
