HAPPY NEW WEEK!!!
Here's a link to last week's Weekly Chat thread. The code for this week's Weekly Chat is WC250813 (in case you ever want to search for it from the search box).
I was away most of last week, and I think it's too late for me to get caught up on replies. I have read all of your news and have loved all the photos! I enjoyed the report and pics from AQ's most recent trip (yay, ducks! And loved that pelican, also the big trees). Wonderful photos from Mulberry and NiteOwl (lilies are one of my very, very favorite flowers; yours are super lovely!). Beautiful dragonfly from Alicat. I really loved the very majestic photos from Lindy -- ducks and deer! Woo hoo! That's an especially beautiful species of deer. Beautiful hibiscus from Alan. Love your increasingly subversive signatures, Alan. LOL! Glad that Mulberry saw an osprey! Happy belated birthday to Jess.Glad that Cerist at Dyfi has been found! Nice to see Mike posting here. Brenda: Are you glad or relieved to say good-bye to the puppy? LOL OG: Hope your sparrow hawk was okay after the window strike! Thanks for posting the excellent photos of handsome Diesel, handsome George, and your own beautiful self!Nice to see Lynette. I hope you have a grand holiday in Austria.I hope that Limpy is feeling better!I'm so very glad that Margo has had good results from the chemo. Sending good energy to you, Margo.Everyone have a great week! It's Indian Summer here and the temperatures this week will be 90 - 100 F (32.2 - 37.7 C) with very high humidity. Yuck.
NITEOWL - oh dear! I will keep your secret! Going back to do a missed bit is risky - alters your rhythm. Your Father-in-law will probably be pleased to be asked to help with that little job! Please stay safe!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
OG: Sorry to hear that the eye is still troubling you, and you're now not signed off - at least they were able to get you straight onto the ointment etc. again. Hope it soon clears up. I adore tete-a-tete daffs. You can't ever have too many.
NiteOwl: Meant to say before, what lovely flowers you posted for Margo. Horrified that you cut through the cable - its easily done but do hope you'll be more careful in future!
Clare: Aw, shucks!!! (blushing)

'Better late than Never'. I have been very busy today. The day started with the engineer arriving on time, at 8am, to service the gas boiler. OH cut the grass while I hung the washing out and then OH cleaned all the drive and patio and then I followed with a spray treatment for moss spores which appear as black spots on the paving stones and bricks. We also did some hedge trimming, weeding and tidying of flower beds. Prepared dinner and then after a shower collapsed on the sofa !
Margo, I was thrilled to see your post. Thank you. It must have taken a lot of effort to write. As always. you are always in my thoughts and prayers. Very Best wishes to you.
Dibnlib, Sorry to hear of Dillon's problems. Everything crossed for good news.
George, I hope your new washing machie arrives soon or you may have to ask for your Sil's help again :-))
Nite Owl, I couldn't belisve what I was reading, that you cut through the cable !! Hedge trimmers are so dangerous anyhow without cutting through the cable. OH doesn't usually let me use them but when he was working, I used to enoy cutting the hedges.
OG, Sorry that you need eye treatment again, but better that it has been caught early this time.
Linda, Love your annual EJ poem and I must look at your photographs in more detail tomorrow. My eyes are shutting
Continue tomorrow......
Thanks Clare for an insight into Felixstowe, some lovely scenery around the area.
Heather B - that restaurant in Brittany sounds super, I remember from some time back when we holidayed in the Normandy area finding a restaurant off the beaten track and having a lovely meal for not a lot of Euros.
OG - OH is much the same, cannot walk more than 200yds without feeling some pain. After our holiday next month he hopes to be signing up at our local hospital with a keep fit type programme to help strengthen his leg muscles and get past the pain barrier. We will have to see whether it comes about!!!!! As for me, progressing nicely.
We are off down to Letchworth on Friday - a Lashings cricket game is being played and where one of our own players is playing for Lashings having won a place in the team due to some of our lads bidding for it at the last Lashings game held here in June. Meeting up with an old friend who lost his wife 2 years ago to a motor neurone related illness. Will be nice to catch up with him.

OH Margobird, its so lovely to hear from you. Glad to hear that chemo is beginning to work and although it is unpleasant and a hard time ahead it will be worth it at the end. Will keep praying for you and send my love.
Hi George, sorry to hear about your washing machine, but know how that feels. Sadly it was the same with me, a new washing machine. Glad your s-I-l was able to oblige and that they are now dry - although there is always the ironing afterwards!
interesting pics of Little Moreton Hall so atmospheric. Love your poem.
After 2 warm sunny days of 23 & 21 C, woke this morn to steady rain. So spring hasn't arrived just yet.
But oh how my day brightened when I saw a long post from Margo. Wonderful to see you. On Sunday I snapped this prunus blossom buzzing with bees - I hope it brightens your day. {{{hugs}}}
