Morning all!
Hi Folks. Not only are we looking after Penny, we also have had OH's niece staying with us. She asked if she could stay with us for a while. She needed time to herself to think about her marriage. After a week with us, her OH arrived last night and they both left this evening ! It might sound selfish but it is nice to have the house back to ourselves and not feel we were walking on eggshells.
Penny has been fine except OH is not very happy about the holes she has created in the back lawn :-)))
I now need to catch up with all your news and photographs.
Love the photos, OG - I always like being able to put faces to names.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Grrrrrr. Was just "rich formatting" a long post responding to everyone's questions, news, and photos and then Internet Explorer crashed! What's even more infuriating is that I'd moved one of the comments around via copy/paste and so lost the original post that I'd already copied/pasted. Sorry, but am too tired to recreate it.
Good to hear Margo has been spotted again (a rare bird!)
Have a good Wednesday all.
Statement from the badger army. If you thought Balcombe was good just wait till you see these guys in action:
"Our morale is sky high: The Hunt Sab groups are prepared and ready to descend on the farms of Gloucestershire and Somerset. We have the public on our side many of whom will boycott the farmers tainted products. Protestors and badger groups organised and ready to roll. The many celebs supporting us will raise our profile when the cull gets underway. We have been preparing for months researching the cull areas. We have a few surprises to come too The farmers have a weak Govt.on their side and little else - they must be quaking in their boots fearing what is to be unleashed when the cull begins over the next few days ...."
Good Morning: Just to be quick, before I reply to any of the above - there is a short film on the BBC website this morning about RUTLAND, the ospreys, and the fate of 09 in particular. Very interesting, with some great action photos at the beginning.

Good Morning LINDA, Thank you. It was worth watching. Very good.
Hi Brenda: See that you have been having a busy time. Its nice to be able to help in a family crisis and it must be a warm feeling that your OH's niece felt she could come to you and be welcome.Do hope their problems can be resolved. How is puppy now?? (dare I ask LOL!)
At this moment LINDA, OH has taken her for a walk. I think she will be a very good dog, as she does learn easily but then has some mad puppy moments :-))
Ours still has 'mad puppy moments', even at his age !!
Back later with some replies, and more photos.
Two of my posts disappeared without being put onto the forum yesterday :-((
