Morning all!
dibnlib: A worrying story, about the possible abduction of dogs. There have been a lot of farm crime incidents here lately, farmers have had to get together to look out for people driving off with their machinery from virtually right under their noses, and animals have gone missing. Mostly animals which could be eaten, to destroy the evidence! My theory is that now nearly everyone has double glazing on their homes, and cars are much harder to steal, the thieves are moving out into the countryside to look for things to pinch.
NiteOwl: That is one glorious Lily picture - how gorgeous!! Thanks!!
Mike Nice to hear from you. I adore Barn Owls, and any Owls. How great to see one so near.
OG: See you are as busy as ever: and still baking!! I can always smell it when you describe what is coming out of the oven next!!

Oighrig is on the move! Update to follow...
Now to see if I can post some more pics from my visit to Dunham Massey:
After a delicious home made type lunch in the Cafe, we walked back past the house itself. It has all its blinds drawn to keep the sun off the furnishings.

The house (Hall) is nicely proportioned, not huge, but must have been impressive in its day.
The view from the house, of the driveway approach:
Missed off the above picture, two wonderfully fierce lions guard the driveway, on high plinths:
- "Lions Rampant!" (a great expression, I always think)
Only took two attempts at each picture, to get them to post <<SIGH>>
Good Morning ALL. Never thought I would say this, but it is lovely to see the rain this morning. Although I am getting tired of wiping Penny's feet etc when she insists she needs to go out in the garden. I will post some latest pics of her.
Limpy, I hope you are feeling fine this morning and that your hospital appointments come through quickly.
Linda, Lovely photographs. I had to reread your post as I thought your OH had done all the shopping on his own!!! Obviously not.
NiteOwl, Love your lily photograph. Thank you.
Lynette, Happy Anniversary and a Happy Birthday to your OH. So good of your daughter to play chauffeur.
Hi Diane, Good to see you back.
OG, I really do hope your water drain problems get solved.
If I was J, I would never want to leave home. All the lovely meals and baking you produce. My mouth waters. Thanks for your photographs of George & Diesel
George, Great to see yourself and Diesel. Such a beautiful dog.
Annette, Enjoy your short holiday. Have just been reading about the latest jetpacks. Only $250,000. I think you could make use of one. LOL
Linda, Just been reading about the dolphin in the River Dee in Chester. Thought you may be on your way to see it :-))
It was on our local news last night, Brenda! I would love to see it, but am on my way out for lunch with Friend today. Sunny here, still, hooray! (& all my towels are out on the w.line, too)
Hello everyone
Got home yesterday after a lovely time with brother and his wife. She left on Sunday to go back home in order to 'supervise' the arrival of their newest grandchild, which is still safely tucked up inside Mummy.
I found that I had to sign in again here and true to form, I couldn't remember my password, so unable to make any more replies other than the first one last Thursday. Very annoying since I could read everything and especially wanted to send hugs to LIMPY and CLARE. I will hopefully be back on here later today ---
