This is a new thread to follow the travels of these three young ospreys from the Loch Garten nest.
Oighrig
This male juvenile is the elder of the 2013 brood, hatched on 25th May and fledged on 16th July.
Oighrig’s ring is Blue/white CF5
Breagha
Also male, the younger of the 2013 brood, hatched 28th May and fledged on 19th July.
Breagha’s ring is Blue/white CF4.

Caledonia
Hatched on 16th May 2012, fledged on 14th July and left Loch Garten on 19th August.
The travels of Caledonia and her sister Alba were first followed in this thread, now closed. Caledonia is the first juvenile osprey tracked from Loch Garten to settle in Europe; she has been living on the northern outskirts of Seville for nearly a year now.
Caledonia’s ring is Blue/White AA1, reading downwards. LG blog on the ringing and tagging of Caledonia & Alba.
Scylla worried too and cannot help but lets hope LG are concentrating on the youngsters but Caledonia is special and should also be updated. Not worrying just now. I look forward to to hearing Caledonia is ok.
Curious to how many days Caledonia's transmitter is set at just now and that could be a reason, why no update.
While my first reaction was to worry, I don't actually think they would have put that comment in at all if there was any cause for concern - they would have kept quiet altogether until they could say something more definite.
I haven't been monitoring closely enough to notice what Caledonia's transmission intervals are at the moment, but I don't see any reason why they _should_ be the same days as Oighrig and Breagha. And I remember from Dyfi updates on Ceulan last year that they can never be sure when, within about a 12 hour window, the data will come through. Ems may be prepared to check at 1/2 hourly intervals, but I doubt if Mike is that fanatical!

That's a good way to look at it, RACHEL, from our point of view :-)
IMAGICAT
Am worried but did think the same as you Rachel.
Breagh still in France, Oighrig in Mauritania, Caledonia as before near Seville

For Scylla and all those concerned earlier. LG update as quoted by Alan.
Birdies LG DU update.
Thank you ALAN and MIKE. All's well :-)
It's good to know all of them are fine - thanks, Alan and Mike.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Good news on all of them. Oighrig is certainly going at it like Alba last year. They are truly amazing birds.
